An open web platform and database for Santali language. Open means that all components and resources of Santal Resource Database remaining here will be usable for free to all users.

Trilingual Wordlist
Santali and Bangla meaning from English wordlist.An availability of getting Santali and Bengali meanings from English word.
Santali Typing Tool
Santali Unicode typing Software Ho̠ṛ katha and ASCII Dahar keyboard. Now these tinny tool available for both Desktop and android versions.
Santali E-Note
Online typing pad for Santali. It runs on the browser. Fast and instant typing features and no roundtrip delay for processing.
Santali Fonts
We created more than hundred fonts. Unicode and ASCII both type fonts will be available with Santali name. Each font contains regular, bold and italic formates.
IPA Converter
IPA(International Phonetic Alphabet) converter for the presentation of Santali phonetics, sounds and pronunciation.
O̠ l Chiki to Santali Unicode Converter
Convert O̠l chiki Unicode text to Santali.O̠l chiki is newly developed Unicode script so it has some limitations to use. Now you don't need to learn o̠l chiki to understand Santali literature.

Why us?
To ascertain a dignified place for Santali language in online and information technology. Specially to adapt Santali language to computing and ICT.
Santali language is a Low Resourced language in computing and online platforms. Santali language components in language resource database will be much helpful to researchers, writers, software programmers, translators and lexicographers along with Santali Speakers. It will help Santali Language to be transformed from Low Resource to a resourceful language. Our works are ongoing with the aim to create total 20 components/resources for Santali language.
It is unimaginable to keep a language alive without language digitization especially in the time of science and technology advancement. Still then in this age, like many indigenous languages, Santali did not get sustainable and infrastructure access to equal durable information technology fields in the midst of many other advanced languages. Though there are so many ways and opportunities by information technologies to sustain and survive a language such as recording, preservation, analysis and publicity. But Santali is far behind these means. For these reasons it is necessary to create remarkable number of resources and contents of information technology in Santali language. Linguistic Materials, their cultural and traditional knowledge and at the same time current local and relevant contents will be in this Santal Resource Database. To make Santali language a tech-friendly one Santal Resource Database has its importance.

Social Influences and Impacts
Santal Resource Database is making an important contribution to safeguard Santali language. It will play an important role for language revitalization and also for the being resourceful language and community. Through community collaboration there will be formation of trained persons who will play vital role for the language revitalization. Moreover workshop, training and campaigns for language resource development is going to make a strong community for making contents and implementation on their own areas and sectors. Our transliteration components are making a bridge between alphabets and through translation resource it will be possible to translate English language contents in Santali. In this way a big text corpus of written literature will be formed which will ensure internationally for survival of the language. In online media through the creation of digital contents of language and cultural materials (contents) a respectful (dignified) place and space will be achieved in information technology.
Achievments and Excitement
The completed works of Santal Resource Database have been marked out as milestone for Santali language. The works of our project have made great excitement in Bangladesh and International Circle. Gov. and non-Gov. organizations, universities and Santal people’s social organizations are getting benefits from the resource of this project.
Santal Writers, Researchers, Santal Community Organizations of Bangladesh, India and Nepal are doing there publications by using our resources. According to our list just in Bangladesh more than twenty Santali Social Organizations are using our resources/tools. The only Santali Community News Portal of this subcontinent santalinews24.com is created by using our typing tools .
At present it began to reflect an unified effort of different organizations, language researchers, University professors, computer programmers, Musicians and volunteers of Santali Language. We are hopeful that through this project a visible base of Santali Language will be set up in online.
